Hel-Embellished Print

Description

Hel is the Norse goddess of the underworld, described as half alive and half dead, she straddles the world of the living and the dead and welcomes us to rest in her realm beneath the world tree. Created for Ghost Gallery’s Art of Tarot show, this is my version of Death/The Devil. She is an actual death goddess, but also represents a highly demonized figure. She brings an end to cycles of being, whether physical or psychological.

Limited edition of 20 hand embellished giclee prints, produced on smooth acid-free archival watercolor paper. Velvety finish, with bright copper acrylic paint embellishments. Signed and numbered.
